Casino Ship – J119-424-Gamma class vessel
The Casino Ship, as it is known throughout the galaxy, is a marvel of technology, architecture and art all rolled into one. Used primarily as gambling venues for planets that have outlawed such activity on their surface. The casino ship will fly in to a local system, just outside of it’s borders and remain there for several months before moving on to other worlds.
There are 400 such vessels in use currently by private companies. They have advanced life support systems, which allow many different species with a variety of needs to be comfortable on board.
The ship has, 2 casinos located in the large transparent steel sphere on the front. The sphere is separated into a “top” and “bottom” half. Each of which has inverse gravity to the other. The “top” dome has 3 levels, the first is the main level and covers the whole diameter of the dome, and this is considered level +1. Above this via clear lift tubes with special holo effects on the top and bottom of the black and gold roof and floor separating the clear walls of the lift car.
The second level (+2) is a series of solid platforms holding the casino venues. Each platform is connected by many glass walkways that allow patrons on the main floor to look up to the top of the dome, or at the special effect lights that shine on the lower level. The top level (+3) is the same as the second with the platforms spaced to allow the second level patrons to see upwards as well. The top level relies on the top domes special lights for a large portion of it’s lighting. There are large displays showing a myriad of things, such as sports, news, advertisements, or bands and light effects to be displayed on the dome sides running along several sides all the way to the top.
The bottom level is very much the same as the top. The main floor (-1) is connected to the first by a series of short halls that have a short curve in them allowing the patrons to pass the gravitational “shift” point with minimal vertigo. (As they cannot see the curve and gravity remains constantly on the “floor” despite a 180-degree shift around a ‘U’ shaped bend).
The ship also houses a hotel with full amenities. There are restaurants, which use both locally imported foods, as well as exotic foods from out of system. And a full performance hall, for live bands, singers, opera's, and other acts. There is also a large bank on board, for obvious reasons. A full time security group mans fighters, 25 exterior guns, and a small army of internal guards to keep the casino and the bank extremely safe. The interior also uses a series of small tractor emitters in the hallways to suspend unruly patrons until guards can arrive. Two large landing bays allow hundreds of small craft to arrive daily, including the casino’s own black shuttle service to and from the planet or colony.
The casino ship also has powerful shields that create a bubble of energy around the main dome and the outer hull of the vessel. It has 4 powerful engines that allow for fairly fast warp speed of 4.2 to 5.15 depending on how the owners choose to modify it. It has slow sublight speeds.
